- 8 beets, medium to large, rinse, do not peel, with roots & 1/2 " stem
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 wrap beets in foil and arrange beets in a casserole dish
- 3 bake 1 hour.
- 4 when cool rub skin away and remove stem and root.
- 5 slice thickly and serve or put in a saucepan, add a little butter and toss beets until warmed through.
