Bear's Ginger Sorbet

Ingredients
- 4 cups ginger ale or 4 cups ginger beer
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup ginger preserves
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 1 pinch salt
Recipe
- 1 heat 1 cup of the ginger ale with the sugar, salt and preserves over medium-low heat until dissolved.
- 2 mix with remainder of ginger ale and the grated ginger in an air-tight container.
- 3 refrigerate until thoroughly chilled (at least 4 hours).
- 4 freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
- 5 place back into air-tight container and freeze overnight until hardened.
- 6 one hour before serving, place in refrigrator to soften it up a bit.
