sugar snaps

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Ready Time: 35 mins

  • preheat oven to 300 degrees f (150 degrees c).
  • in a medium bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, and sugar. beat in the egg yolks one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. roll dough into walnut size-balls and place 2 inches apart an unprepared cookie sheet.
  • bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. cool on wire racks.
