Basil Pesto Pomodoro Sauce

Ingredients

• cooking spray
• 1 cup onion, finely chopped
• 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
• 1/4 cup basil pesto (ready made or your favorite recipe)

Recipe

• 1 coat a large skillet with cooking spray. heat over medium-high heat, add onion; cook and stir for 5 minutes or until tender.
• 2 add tomatoes and juice and simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
• 3 stir in pesto and heat through.
• 4 serve over hot pasta.
