Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh basil sprig, packed
Recipe
- 1 bring sugar and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. boil, stirring often, about 1 minute or until the sugar is dissolved.
- 2 remove from heat and add basil. cool completely, about 1 hour.
- 3 pour into a glass jar, cover and refrigerate at least 24 hours.
- 4 remove basil and discard. enjoy!
- 5 note: to make mint syrup, use mint in place of basil.
