Batter-fried Scallions

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup wine
  • 1 cup flour
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • 40 scallions (4 bunches)
  • vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 whisk wine into flour in a bowl until smooth.
  • 2 season with salt, black & red pepper.
  • 3 halve scallions crosswise.
  • 4 dip into batter, and fry in hot vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, 2รข€“3 minutes.
  • 5 drain on paper towels, and salt generously.
