Blackberry Cobbler

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour, unbleached preferred
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°.
  • 2 sift dry ingredients together.
  • 3 add the milk & beat well.
  • 4 melt butter in a 3 " deep 8 x 8 baking pan.
  • 5 pour in the batter & then add the berries on top.
  • 6 bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. the batter will rise to the top of the cobbler & make a light, rich crust.
  • 7 note: be sure to test the the center because it tends to be the last to bake & might be under-cooked.
