Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour, unbleached preferred
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups blackberries
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400°.
- 2 sift dry ingredients together.
- 3 add the milk & beat well.
- 4 melt butter in a 3 " deep 8 x 8 baking pan.
- 5 pour in the batter & then add the berries on top.
- 6 bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. the batter will rise to the top of the cobbler & make a light, rich crust.
- 7 note: be sure to test the the center because it tends to be the last to bake & might be under-cooked.
