Bread Machine Apricot Nutmeg Bread

Total Time: 3 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup water, 70-80 degrees
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant nonfat dry milk powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup dried apricot, chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 put ingredients beginning with water through yeast in bread machine, in order given.
  • 2 select sweet bread cycle, with medium crust color and loaf size if available.
  • 3 check dough after 5 minutes of mixing and add 1-2 tbl. water or flour, if needed.
  • 4 just before final knead, at beep, add apricots and nutmeg.
