Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 put the apples and water in a saucepan.
- 2 cover and bring to the boil.
- 3 boil over low heat, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes.
- 4 stir in sugar and cook until it dissolves.
- 5 add cinnamon or nutmeg.
- 6 serve warm or cold.
