Basic Hummus

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained 
- 1 garlic clove, minced 
- 1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed paste) 
- 1/4 cup lemon juice 
- 1/4 cup olive oil 
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted (optional) 
- 1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley 
Recipe
- 1 in a blender or food processor combine the garbanzo beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, oil, and salt. cover and blend or process until smooth, scraping sides as necessary.
