Avocado Tomato Melt

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 bagels or 4 english muffins, split
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced
  • 1 -2 large vine-ripened tomato, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • coarse salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat broiler to high. under the broiler,
  • 2 toast bagel halves on a baking sheet until golden brown.
  • 3 remove from oven.
  • 4 top each bagel half with sliced avocados and tomatoes;
  • 5 lightly salt the tomatoes. sprinkle chopped basil over the tomatoes.
  • 6 put a layer of mozzarella cheese over the basil,
  • 7 sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, and top with black pepper.
  • 8 broil prepared bagel halves for approximately
  • 9 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  • 10 remove from oven and enjoy!
