Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped granny smith apple
- 2 cups apple juice
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 saute onions and apple in butter until tender. add apple juice and bring to a boil.
- 2 add rice, salt, and thyme and simmer on low for 15 minutes or until almost done. add broth and simmer until absorbed.
