Apple Rice Pilaf

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/8 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped granny smith apple
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups uncooked rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 saute onions and apple in butter until tender. add apple juice and bring to a boil.
  • 2 add rice, salt, and thyme and simmer on low for 15 minutes or until almost done. add broth and simmer until absorbed.
