Bavarian Red Cabbage

Total Time: 8 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 large head red cabbage, washed and coarsely sliced
  • 6 tart apples, cored & quartered
  • 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 place all the ingredients into the crock pot.
  • 2 cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours or high 3 hours.
  • 3 stir well before serving.
