Black Pepper Cake

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour, sifted
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda (put in buttermilk)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 cream margarine until it resembles whipped cream.
- 2 add brown sugar and stir. add sugar and vailla. beat well.
- 3 add eggs, one at a time, beat after each.
- 4 sift together dry ingredients. add to mixture, alternating with buttermilk (put soda in buttermilk).
- 5 beat well and pour into greased and floured pans. bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. bundt pans take about 40 minutes.
- 6 if loaf pan us used,and can be, bake for 45 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees.
