Apple Pie Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup dried apple
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup 2% low-fat milk
- 1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a saucepan and add the dried apple pieces, cinnamon, vanilla, water and milk. bring to a boil and add the oats. cook about 5 minutes or until it's the consistency you like. stir in the applesauce*. if desired, stir in a little more milk.
- 2 *use natural (no sugar added) applesauce.
