Baked Fudge Dessert

Ingredients

• 1 cup sifted cake flour
• 2 tablespoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons cocoa
• 1/2 cup nuts
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 tablespoons melted shortening
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 3/4 cups hot water
• 1 teaspoon grated orange rind

Recipe

• 1 sift the first five ingredients together, before stirring in the nuts.
• 2 make a well in the centre and add the milk, vanilla and melted shortening.
• 3 stir lightly and pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
• 4 for the topping, beat the ingredients together and pour over the batter.
• 5 bake at 350 f until done.
• 6 serve with whipped cream.
