Apple Oatmeal (crock-pot)

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 1/2 cups steel cut oats
- 1/2 cup oat bran or 1/2 cup wheat berries
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup cranberry juice or 1 cup apple juice
- toasted walnuts (optional)
- wheat germ (optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a slow cooker, combine oats, wheat berries, apples, cinnamon and vanilla.
- 2 stir in water and juice.
- 3 cover and cook on low for 8 hours or overnight.
- 4 stir well.
- 5 top with walnuts and/or wheatgerm or your favorite toppings.
