Baked Fresh Pears

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 bosc pears
- 1 cup dry riesling wine
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Recipe
- 1 cut pears in half lengthwise, but do not peel them.
- 2 remove the cores, and place the pears, cut side up, in a nonreactive casserole.
- 3 fill the hollow within the pear with wine, then pour the maple syrup over the pears. sprinkle with sugar on top.
- 4 bake pears in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, until tender.
