Baked Fresh Pears

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 bosc pears
  • 1 cup dry riesling wine
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cut pears in half lengthwise, but do not peel them.
  • 2 remove the cores, and place the pears, cut side up, in a nonreactive casserole.
  • 3 fill the hollow within the pear with wine, then pour the maple syrup over the pears. sprinkle with sugar on top.
  • 4 bake pears in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, until tender.
