Baked Beans Balti

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 green chili pepper, seeds removed and finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 (14 ounce) can baked beans

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in a small saucepan over a moderate heat and fry the onion for a couple of minutes.
  • 2 add the chili and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously, until the onion begins to turn golden brown.
  • 3 stir in the spices and fry for a further minute, before adding the beans. reduce the heat and cook for 3 minutes.
  • 4 taste and season with salt, if necessary. serve with hot chapattis, naan, pitta bread or toast.
