Baked Beans With Bacon & Red Onion

Ingredients
- 6 cups the big can barbecued baked beans
- 3 slices bacon, chopped, 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425.
- 2 pour beans into casserole dish and place in oven until heated through.
- 3 in a small, nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
- 4 add onions and cook 3 minutes longer.
- 5 remove beans from oven and scatter onions and bacon around the beans.
- 6 sprinkle the brown sugar and black pepper over the onions.
- 7 bake beans with toppings 10 minutes longer.
- 8 garnish with parsley and serve.
