Baked Beans With Bacon & Red Onion

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 cups the big can barbecued baked beans
  • 3 slices bacon, chopped, 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425.
  • 2 pour beans into casserole dish and place in oven until heated through.
  • 3 in a small, nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
  • 4 add onions and cook 3 minutes longer.
  • 5 remove beans from oven and scatter onions and bacon around the beans.
  • 6 sprinkle the brown sugar and black pepper over the onions.
  • 7 bake beans with toppings 10 minutes longer.
  • 8 garnish with parsley and serve.
