Baked Apple Pie Jam

Ingredients
- 4 cups apples, heaping
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 (1 3/4 ounce) box dry pectin
- 1 teaspoon butter
Recipe
- 1 chop apples fine and place in a 4 cup measuring cup, ensuring they are heaping. add water (or apple juice) to the 4 cup line while the apples are still in the measuring cup.
- 2 place apples, pectin, butter, lemon juice and spices into a pot and bring to a boil.
- 3 add sugars and bring back to a full rolling boil, continue boiling for 1 minute.
- 4 remove from heat and skim off any foam.
- 5 ladle into sterilzed jars, leaving 1/4-inch space.
