  • 8 (1 ounce) squares bittersweet chocolate, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup

  • place the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler. add corn syrup and set over a pan of simmering water. stir occasionally until melted and smooth. use immediately.

  • 12 small red potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 slices provolone cheese, torn into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c).
  • grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • place potatoes and bouillon cube in a large pot and cover with water. bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, 10 to 15 minutes. drain and return potatoes to empty pot.
  • whisk together cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  • pour soup mixture over potatoes and mix.
  • pour potato mixture into prepared casserole dish.
  • stir provolone cheese and parmesan cheese into potato mixture. top with a layer of cheddar cheese.
  • bake in preheated oven until bubbling and cheese topping is lightly browned, about 25 minutes. let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

  • beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. add sugar, beat until fluffy. add flour, and beat at low speed until well blended, stir in pecans.
  • shape into one inch balls. bake at 325 degrees f (165 degrees c) on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes. remove and put on wire rack to cool. roll in confectioners' sugar when cool.

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon hazelnut extract or vanilla extract*
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread, almond butter, or peanut butter, or more as needed

  • line two cookie sheets with reynolds® parchment paper; set aside.
  • stir together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. in a large bowl beat butter using an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. add powdered sugar and hazelnut extract. beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. beat in egg until combined. beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can with the mixer. using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour mixture and the chocolate chips.
  • cover and chill about 1 hour or until dough is easy to handle.
  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f. shape dough into 1-inch balls. place balls 2 inches apart prepared cookie sheets. place a sheet of parchment paper over the dough balls. using the bottom of a glass, flatten balls into circles, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. remove top sheet of parchment paper; set aside.
  • bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until tops are firm. transfer the cookies on the parchment paper to a wire rack; cool completely.
  • spread a rounded teaspoon of the chocolate hazelnut spread flat side of half of the cookies. top with the remaining cookies.

  • drop by teaspoonfuls the prepared cookie sheets and bake at 425 degrees f (220 degrees c) for 8 minutes.
