Apricot-rum Bbq Sauce

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Recipe

  • 1 over medium-high heat, saute minced onion and ginger in 1 tablespoon olive oil in a saucepan until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • 2 add rest of ingredients and bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.
