Bdogschneebys Blanched Tomatoes

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 3 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 10 -20 tomatoes
  • 3 gallons boiling water

Recipe

  • 1 -clean the tomatoes.
  • 2 -fill large pot with water, bring to a boil.
  • 3 -fill large bowl with cold water.
  • 4 -place some tomatoes into the boiling water.
  • 5 -stir them around 1-3 minutes, until you start to see the skin peel. (even if the skin is not peeling pull them from the hot water).
  • 6 -place all tomatoes in the bowl of cold water, let them cool.
  • 7 -take a knife and gouge out the stem, both ends.
  • 8 -pull off the skin of the tomato, remove the seeds if you would like.
  • 9 -quarter remaining, skinless tomato, place in a ziplock freezer bag.
  • 10 -label the bag.
