Ingredients

- 2 -3 sweet potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons water
Recipe
- 1 wash and peel the potatoes.
- 2 cut them lengthwise into 1/4" slices.
- 3 melt butter in a heavy skillet, and add the potatoes.
- 4 sprinkle with the water, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
- 5 cover and cook very slowly until tender.
