Betty's Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

• Servings: 4
• 2 -3 sweet potatoes
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 2 tablespoons water

Recipe

• 1 wash and peel the potatoes.
• 2 cut them lengthwise into 1/4" slices.
• 3 melt butter in a heavy skillet, and add the potatoes.
• 4 sprinkle with the water, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
• 5 cover and cook very slowly until tender.
