Apricot-cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apricot
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 5 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, combine the cranberries, apricots, raisins and spices. mix well, then set aside.
  • 2 combine the water and sugar in the saucepan. bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium. cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • 3 add the dried fruit mixture and vinegar. bring the mixture to a boil and reduce the heat. simmer the sauce for 10 minutes or until the fruit is tender.
  • 4 let sauce cool and serve.
