Black Olive Tapenade

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 9 ounces black olives, with pits to ensure more flavor
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 6 anchovy fillets
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juice of

Recipe

  • 1 pit the olives by squeezing or smashing them and removing the pit.
  • 2 place the olives, garlic, anchovies in a small food processor until mixture is smooth.
  • 3 add salt and fresh ground pepper, and correct any seasoning.
  • 4 add olive oil to loosen.
  • 5 add lemon juice to taste.
