Ingredients
- 1 cup wheat bran
- 1 cup sultana
- 1/2 cup sugar ( or brown)
- 1 cup milk, skimmed
- 1 cup self-raising flour
Recipe
- 1 soak the bran, sugar, milk and fruit together for at least 2 hours. add flour and pour into a loaf tin.
- 2 bake at 180c/350f/gas 4 for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
- 3 serve in slices. dieters may consume an occasional slice as a treat!
