Apricot Rice

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 1/2 cups apricots, chopped
  • 1 cup rice
  • sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • few almonds, peeled and chopped

Recipe

  • 1 boil the rice in water or a mixture of water and apricot nectar and sugar to taste.
  • 2 lower flame and cook until just soft.
  • 3 add butter and stir gently.
  • 4 mix in the chopped apricots ensuring that you do not break the grains.
  • 5 garnish with chopped almonds.
  • 6 serve hot/cold with cream.
