Artichokes Plain And Simple Slow Cooker

Ingredients
- 4 artichokes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- water
- melted butter (optional)
Recipe
- 1 cut off the bottom stem of the artichoke.
- 2 cut off 1/2-1" from the top of the artichoke.
- 3 wash artichokes thoroughly and place standing up in a slow cooker.
- 4 fill the slow cooker with water about 3/4 to top of artichoke.
- 5 mix lemon juice and salt together.
- 6 sprinkle on top of each artichoke.
- 7 spoon a bit of water on top of each artichoke.
- 8 cover and cook 10 hours low or 2-4 hours high.
- 9 i spooned water over the tops of the artichoke during mid time of cooking.
