Ancho Potato Mash

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 5 ancho chilies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warm
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 ancho milk: steep chilies in milk for 10-15 minutes, cool slightly and puree.
  • 2 use as you would regular milk.
  • 3 ancho potatoes: place mashed potatoes in a saucepan and add the rest of the ingredients.
  • 4 heat slowly, stirring regularly to avoid burning and to blend well adding the remaining milk if needed.
