Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Porridge

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups unsweetened apple juice or 3 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/2 peeled and diced apple
  • 1/3 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 in saucepan bring apple juice and salt to a boil.
  • 2 whisk in the rolled oats, apple, raisons (if using) and cinnamon.
  • 3 reduce heat and simmer whisking constantly for about 4-5 minutes or until desired thickness.
  • 4 **i myself prefer the unsweetened apple juice**.
