Authentic Horchata

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/2 cups rice
- 1 cup sugar (more or less to taste)
- 2 -3 cinnamon sticks (more or less to taste)
- water (hopefully your tap is next to your blender)
- ice
Recipe
- 1 put rice in blender.
- 2 add water to blender (until about one inch above rice).
- 3 add sugar and cinnamon.
- 4 blend on any higher speed until consistent.
- 5 strain into pitcher.
- 6 put remnant (whats left in the strainer) back into blender.
- 7 add more water (again, one inch) into blender.
- 8 repeat steps 4-7 until all rice is done.
- 9 add more water to the horchata if it is too sweet.
- 10 either add ice to pitcher or serve in cups over ice.
